The main organizer, GAB Foundation in partnership with GEC will organise another river carnival event as an appreciation to the effort and commitment shown by the project partners, stakeholders and local community in the project.

The second W.A.T.E.R Project River Carnival fully funded by GAB Foundation after the first river carnival successfully organised in May 2008 at Desa Mentari square. May 2008 river carnival has received a very warm welcome from the publics and many project stakeholders. As a result publics and local communities have requested GAB Foundation and the project committee not to end it with the first river carnival but to continue it as part of the project sustainability programme.

The main objective of the river carnival is to create awareness and educate the publics on the importance of conserving the river ecosystem and it resources, "WATER" through community participation. Therefore the second river carnival is about to make a come back with more joyful and interesting activities for the publics to endeavor. This time the secretariat, GAB Foundation and GEC targeted at least 1,000 visitors from around the Sg Way basin to come and taking part in the activities planned for the carnival. The event conceptual is based on fun and learning, which guarantee them with unforgetful, joyful and facinating experiences to be shared among friends and family members.

Various type of fun and learning activities such as an environmental games like green dress competition, drawing competition and river hunt is something that everyone cannot miss.
