This initiative will later enhance and link with ecotourism concept under the existing project in the Upper Kinta Basin.

The current hiking trails to Mount Korbu is through the Sultan Azlan Shah Dam, where the dam is a restricted area for the public, which can cause many problems and issues. Therefore, with the establishment of this new hiking trail it is expected that tourists and participants will stop by in this particular village (Kg Makmur) and boost their local livelihood besides serving alternative route compared to existing route that need to cross dam.

Other than that, an OA based outdoor recreational space will be built to promote ecotourism and create job opportunities. OA communities especially from Kampung Tonggang will be involved in the planning, construction, establishment and maintenance of recreational areas. The recreational site will be equipped with facilities like campsites, an open multipurpose hall, prayer rooms, and bathroom/toilets that can be utilised by the day- tripping visitors. The OA community will fully engaged in preparing and providing basic structural materials from forest resources such as bamboo and wood to build the chalet and recreation area.
